My second project since getting my new sewing machine was this top that I put together this morning. I was worried that working with a stretch knit fabric would be difficult, but it really wasn't. Either I was better at this hobby than I remember, or this machine makes everything easier. Maybe both.
I like everything about this pattern, from the longer length to the gathered bodice, but the sleeves are a little snug for my liking. I'm hoping a smaller seam allowance will be enough to loosen them up the next time I sew from this pattern.
Here is a closer shot of the fabric and the bodice detailing.

I LIKE that! Too cute...I like the scrunching, too. Dang, you ARE good at that; not sure I could handle it.
That is so pretty! You did a wonderful job.
Tug and Lisa: Thanks. I think the fabric really adds to the appeal. It's not without mistakes, but no more so than most storebought clothing. :)
I don't think you give yourself enough credit. I think it's lovely. Your obviously very good.
Your top turned out great...and how fun to have a mew machine!
