Sat'dy Shopping

Just a quick post to show you what I got today.  I contacted a craigslister about this stovetop popcorn popper.  Only used once or twice, clean, like-new condition.  But she lived on the north side of the city and I live on the south side.  :(

No worries.  She just happened to be getting ready to visit her MIL who lives on my side of the halfway point.  Why yes, I would be willing to meet her at that one store on that one street.

So now, I'm the proud owner of the popcorn popper, along one remaining package of popcorn and some cute fold-out popcorn boxes.

All for just $5.

I love it! And although I hate the idea of bringing more stuff into this house, this popper "takes me back" to a care-free time of my life.
Thanks for that!

I love my whirley popper. I just got one a few weeks ago. See: http://osagebluffquilter.blogspot.com/2011/02/pop-pop-pop.html

If you make the kettle corn, add a VERY light shake of salt to the finished corn.

HI Annie! I have one of those westbend crank poppers and I love it! I put in 2-3 tbs of coconut oil and 1/2 cup corn and it makes THE best popcorn EVER. A little salt and if you want some melted butter and it is shear heaven. Kids come over to watch movies just for my popcorn! You got a very good deal because they last FOR EVER! I am now following your blog! all the best, Alex@amoderatelife
