Quick Coffee and Tea Tips

I have a single-cup coffee maker (Senseo), but many mornings I still find that I have coffee left in my cup.  Instead of pouring it out, I pour it into a pint jar or travel mug with a lid, add a couple of teaspoons of sugar and top it off with milk, then put it in the fridge.  It makes a nice afternoon coffee treat and helps me get my calcium, too.

Or sometimes I pour leftover coffee (or tea) into an ice cube tray and freeze cubes for later use in cold drinks.  I don't want my regular ice cube trays to take on a coffee or tea taste, so I bought trays in a different color just for these cubes.

If you don't like cold coffee, you can still make good use of your leftover coffee (or tea).  Just add it, along with coffee grounds, used tea leaves and/or tea bags to your compost pile.  Or you can dilute either coffee or tea (no cream, sugar or flavorings, please) to use for watering your houseplants.  Most houseplants love it.

I don't like coffee, but I love Frappuccino. That sounds great!

I think I might try the iced coffee later in the day. I almost never finish the mug I bring to work with me. A little iced coffee in the afternoon might be nice.
