Today was definitely NOT a "no spend" day. I went out for our usual groceries, picked up two tire and wheel assemblies for our pop-up camper so we can safely use it in a couple of weekends, and I scraped together $1000 (payment plus LOTS of extra toward the principal) to put toward our van loan today.
Our new balance on the van is $3535. The light at the end of that debt tunnel is getting brighter. If overtime keeps up for Shane, we might be able to knock it out in four more months; I'm determined to get it gone by the end of the year, at least.
So now I'm not only broke, but I'm PMSing and have a headache. I need to head over to A.Marie's blog and enter her giveaway. She's giving away a CHOCOLATE YUMMY! Chocolate and free sounds like just what I need today.
Well, just what I want, anyway...

I love when I can pay ahead on something! Good for you guys!
Good for you for making such a dent in your car loan.
Sorry you are PMSing. I do NOT miss that!!
Yay for ya'll on the debt reduction!
WTG!!!
It's too early for chocolate....unless it's on a donut or in a muffin or pancakes....lol
Congratulations on paying down the van. I love having no car payments! Hope you are feeling better soon! Have a lovely weekend!!
Congrats on getting rid of a chunk of the van debt, it'll be cleared in no time at this rate.
And I'm sending chocolatey thoughts your way to deal with the PMS.
I'm sorry about the headache! Maybe it has something to do with all that money going out the door!
Have a great and pain free weekend!
McVal: Sometimes it's a struggle to just make the payments on time. It's a real treat, IMO, to be able to pay ahead.
Frances: One of these days I'll be so over it. But not yet. :(
Sluggy: Honestly, I can take or leave chocolate. Except for those PMS days. Then I crave either chocolate or alcohol. Sometimes both. LOL!
Sheila: Thanks! I'm feeling a lot better today.
Leanne: I hope so. We really want that debt GONE!
SonyAnn: So, no debt equals no headaches, both figuratively and literally? Good. That's more incentive to get things paid off.
