Wish Me Luck

I was meaning to put a couple of posts up today, a recipe and something else, but Shane had a rain-out day. He was on the computer a good part of the day and kind of in my way when he wasn't online, so I didn't get much done today. That probably sounds cruel, which is not how I meant it. I guess I'm just a little set in my ways; I want him home when he's supposed to be home, and at work when he's supposed to be at work. Rain-out days and overtime days just screw up my whole routine.

The only two shows that I would make a point to watch regularly both have their season premiers tonight (NCIS and House, MD). Doesn't look like I'll get to see them. Kat isn't one to let us watch television in peace, and our VCR will play but not record. What about Tivo, you ask? We don't have it, and won't be getting it. It's not worth it to us; we don't watch TV consistently enough to make it worth paying for. We watch Netflix movies much more often than TV shows.

I have a job interview tomorrow morning for the cubicle job that isn't really a cubicle job. From the conversation I had on the phone with the woman who would be my supervisor, it sounds like an opportunity I won't want to pass up if it comes my way.

MUCH GOOD LUCK tomorrow!! You so deserve it, I hope all goes well.

I totally get what you're saying about things being out of whack - the 'routine'...hee.

GOOD LUCK!

Glad to know I'm not the only one who has felt this when their significant is home. I think it's because my dad usually worked six days a week, and if he was home, it probably meant that mom was sick or that something else was wrong.

Someday maybe my wife will tell me to go away.

Most of the time it's the other way around for me. If I have spare time I am needed at home for something.

Best of luck on the interview tomorrow.

Dadguy: Thing is, as much as he likes to take on projects around the house, he doesn't want to do anything when he has an unexpected day off. I think it screws up his routine, too.
