Saturday morning we were off to a slow start after staying up late the night before. After coffee and toast, we headed out fro some sight-seeing.
Our first stop was Garden of the Gods. Here are some of our pics from there, but I'm so disappointed with them. I got better pics of this place with a 110 pocket camera 25 or so years ago.

We followed that up with a tour through Cave of the Winds. Here are some outside pics, but I couldn't get any good inside shots.

We were ready for lunch, so we ate at
Stagecoach Inn in Manitou Springs, CO. Kind of quaint on the outside, in a tourist-y sort of way.

After our meal, a thunderstorm popped up, so we headed back to the house and just relaxed for the rest of the afternoon, not doing much of anything. I didn't even get a photo of the tacos we had for supper, but I promise they weren't made with any "weird" animals or animal parts.

Oh, and I totally forgot to mention that I was so sorry to read about your Mother passing away. :{
Both of those places look like they would be worth the visit. I love to see places like that--reminds me of when we lived in New Mexico. Yeah--rocky mountain oysters---uh--no!! Don't think I could do that. I'm glad y'all are having a good time. Everyone needs a little time away. Take care.
