Monday Morning Chit Chat - Sunny Day Edition

Good morning.  I hope all of you had a nice weekend and a nice Mother's Day, too.

My weekend was nice.  I spent Saturday with Kat and my daughter Jean, going to garage sales and having lunch at a Chinese buffet.  Saturday evening I talked to Shane on the phone for a while (like I do every evening when he's away) and read a bit before going to sleep.  Sunday I volunteered at our city's recycle bins for a couple of hours, then mowed our lawn, hung some laundry, picked some lettuce and made supper.  Kat was at Jean's for the day, so it was a quiet day for me.

Absolutely nothing exciting happened over the weekend, and sometimes those are the best kind.

My week ahead looks typical.  I'll be outside in the garden the next couple of days and probably inside working later in the week.  All of this is based on weather:  we're having a mini-heatwave right now with temps in the upper 80s to lower 90s today and tomorrow, then maybe some rain on Wednesday, then cooler days at the end of the week.  I'd like to get some tomatoes and peppers planted (I have the bedding plants on that grow rack in the kitchen), but I'm not sure I have a place to put them yet.  I may have to up-pot them, then put them in the ground a little later, after some of the early vegetables are harvested.

The garden is really starting to take off now.  I'll post more about it, and some pictures, tomorrow.

Not much else is planned for the week.  I might have lunch with a friend and I've been hearing "that rumor" again, but I learned my lesson and I'm not even going to pass it on this time.

What do you have going on this week?

Sounds like you had a wonderful weekend! The concert that I had heard was tonight is NOT tonight! Whew! An evening at home is pretty rare...
Other than that, the rest of the week is going to be relatively busy.
I hope that rumor is true.

I'm glad that you had a great weekend. Mine was crazy with kid activities but I guess that's how it's going to be for awhile. Oh well, this is what I signed up for.
Have a great day! m.
