Monday Morning Chit Chat - "Now, Who Was That?" Edition

Last week someone blogged about their lemon pudding cake being too eggy, and I commented that I might have a recipe for them to try.  That was dead tired after having just come home from my trip (I think), and now I've forgotten whose post it was.  If it was YOUR post, please let me know, so I can send you my recipe. Maybe some day I'll post it here, but for now, I'll be happy to send it on as promised.

Now, on to the chit chat.

Hope all of you had a nice Easter weekend.  I had a quiet one.  We don't do a lot for Easter, and what little we do was even less this year since Shane is out of town.  Friday I baked sugar cookies, but when the time cake to frost them, Kat asked if we could leave them plain because she liked them that way.  So, sorry...no lovely decorated cookie pictures.

Saturday we dyed a couple dozen eggs, I went outside and did just a little weeding,  but really didn't do much else all day.  I don't know what's going on with me, but I haven't had much motivation to do anything since I returned from my trip.  I thought I was just tired at first, but that should have corrected itself by now.  Maybe it's because we've had so much rainy weather lately.

Yesterday...Easter...Kat went with her mom and step-dad to a big family party and egg hunt on his side of the family.  I stayed home and thought about doing some gardening.  I thought really hard about it, but in the end,, I didn't do any.  Shane bought a laptop computer last Friday evening (we've been putting that purchase off for years, but decided now was the right time) so I Skyped with him a few different times throughout the day, but most I sat on my butt all day.  This really has to change...I've got stuff to do.  Maybe the weather will be a little better this week and I'll feel more motivated.  Either that, or I'll just have to fake it 'til I make it.

Kat has another day off school today.  We plan on playing some games and watching some movies.  Tomorrow I have a mystery shop to do which includes lunch, and the rest of the week I hope to just get myself back on track with the daily business of managing a home.

What will you be doing this week?

I used to be a mystery pizza customer. love getting freebies like that! Monday's the day to wash all the bed linens, but other than that, I'm wide open. ;)

I'm going to sew a kids dress for Etsy. Got a start on it last night. Just need a zipper. I'm determined to get a few things listed soon!
Sometimes you just have to sit on your butt for a little bit until the motivation starts again. You'll get there! I think it was the weather.

This post made me feel better. I can't get going for the life of me. My asthma has been bad so I have been blaming that but I think that I have no motivation either. Let me know if you find a cure and if it involves coffee.

I think it is the weather. That and the effects of traveling! :-)
Hope you feel better soon...for now enjoy the downtime. You are always so busy so this should be a welcome change!

Blessings,
Jill

I'm not really motivated either. I have to get ready for a trip with my mom, which will be fun, but right now I'd like nothing better than not to have to think about packing.

I am having big time trouble adjusting to being back to work, cooking, laundry, keeping the house caught up, shopping, gardening and my blog. I have no energy or motivation. I hope to start getting a routine down but there just isn't enough hours in the day.

DMarie: I used to get lots of pizzas for free. I don't see as many offers for them now, though.

Dr. Alice: I used to love to pack and get ready for a trip. What was I thinking? It's a huge chore for me now.
