Brief Intermission

Shane and I just found out that he's being sent out of town again for work.  This time he'll be an 8-hour drive away in Garden City, KS.  The money will be great, as he'll be working 10-hour days, six days a week.  Unfortunately, that means he won't be able to come home at all until the work is done.  They've been told to expect to be there between four and seven weeks.

Of course, he doesn't want to go, but there isn't much work here at home and that's where they want/need him to be, so he's going.  It's not good, but it's better than being laid off.

I don't want him to go, either, but I'll be fine.  Like I mentioned before, I have lots of practice at being a single mom, and as long as his company sends his paycheck to me, I'll be fine for the duration.  ;)

On that note, I'm taking the next few days off from my blog...and maybe from reading some of yours.  By day I'll be trying to get things together for Shane to take with him and by night Kat and I will be spending some quality time with him.

I'll be back on Sunday afternoon.

Rest in peace. I mean, enjoy your break!
And he'll be back before you know it.
See you soon.

Ahhh, I'm sorry it is going to be so long. I could handle a week, two at the most, but for me, that's a long time!

Wow, it sounds like a great opportunity but I'm sure after a couple weeks it could wear a bit. Good luck prepping for Shane's trip and we will see you soon.

Sorry it's for so long.... but as you say sometimes we just need to be where the $ is for the sake of our families. Hang in there!

Blessings,
Jill

Did you enjoy your 'staycation'? We missed you, but it sounds like you've got a great attitude about the near future. If you need single mom encouragement, stop by any time!
