Savory Halloween Treats

**********

I've mentioned that our family is going to a Halloween party on Saturday evening.  Our hostess asked if we would bring an appetizer or treat of some kind.  I've found that at their gatherings, there tend to be more sweet treats than any other kind, so I've decided to take some savory treats to help round out the offerings.

A couple of these Spooky Spiderweb Pizzas should do the trick.  I'll make my own crust and a mixture of store-bought pizza sauce and our own garden tomatoes (that I canned) for the sauce.

I'm also going to make up a big batch of appetizer sized meatballs similar to Swedish meatballs, only they're made from ground turkey and Italian sausage instead of beef.  Those should help fill us up.  I just need to come up with a spooky name for them...

Too cute! It kind of looks like a dart board! But I can see a spider web too...

Love your spiderweb pizza! I can think of some dirty names for your meatballs, but not scary ones. LOL!

McVal: You're right. I'm much better at eating pizza than hitting a bullseye, though.

Frances: LOL! That's exactly the problem Shane and I are running into...

Something with eyeballs for the meatballs - putrid eyeballs or plucked out eyeballs - in sauce? bloody eyeballs.
