No Time To Veg Out

Today's post will be short and sweet.  Just a contest reminder and few garden pictures.  I have a lot  of mixed lettuces and Swiss chard to wash and bag today and no time to just sit around "veg-ing".  I can't believe we're still getting spring greens this late in the summer, but this year has been anything but typical.

I also brought in a few tomatoes (red Big Boy and yellow Lemon Boy), another handful of green beans, a couple small zucchini squashes and a head of garlic.  I'm thinking Veggie Pasta Alfredo for supper.

And for the skeptical Slugmama, the spaghetti squash and acorn squash are doing fine on the vertical fencing.  They don't appear to be in any danger of falling at all.  And now we know...

SonyaAnn: This is a FAMILY-FRIENDLY blog. (I'll send the pics to you via email...)

Sluggy: Yep, they're sunflowers. Not sure what variety, though. And so far, just the one eggplant to envy.
