Am I The Only One?

Am I the only person who loves getting brand new bright white tennis shoes, then hates to wear them because they might get dirty?

I  bought these a couple of months ago when I could feel that my then current pair were losing their bounce and support, although they still looked pretty good on the outside (they aren't white leather).  I finally brought these out this past weekend, for comfort sake, and I've been pussy-footing around in them, trying to keep them clean and bright for as long as possible.

I love to keep my tennies white too. I guess the use of "tennies" ages me, huh? Oh well--I do wipe mine off--I've heard some people use those magic erasers on their shoes but I haven't tried that yet.

I love nice, bright, white tennis shoes. I also have a new pair and I don't want them to get dirty. I never thought of using the magic eraser on my shoes...hmmm...now that is an idea!! :)

I'm sure you're not the only one, but I'm not included in that group. I'm short and I have huge feet so bright white shoes make me feel like a duck. I wouldn't buy them in the first place and if I did, I'd scuff them up ASAP!

Sheila: I wipe mine, too, and yes, I've used magic eraser, especially on Kat's shoes. It works really well on the foamy part between the shoe and the sole. Also, Dawn and toothbrush work well. :)

A.Marie: I'm glad I'm not the only one.

CJ: I'm so sorry, but your comment made me giggle.

I used to be like you and then I started buying dirt colored tennis shoes. My life is so much easier now. :) Your shoes are quite pretty though!

Alea: The tennis shoes I just retired were light gray with lots of areas of nylon mesh. They hid the dirt well, but I wanted something different this time.

You are not the only one. Hubby is like that. I made him go get new athletic shows because he has to have a lot of support after all his surgeries.

He did, but he keeps wearing older ones so he won't get the new ones dirty. Sigh. I told him to wear them. When they get dirty I will clean them.
