Get A Load Of This....

It was 50°+ yesterday -- look what I did!

I'll be putting out another load today.  Anything to convince myself that winter is over and spring is finally here. No matter that the white stuff there in front of the shed is snow.

Guess what else I did yesterday?  I deleted my Facebook account.  I had to...I was letting it take up far too much of my time.  I tried just cutting back on it, but that's not the way my brain handles addictive habits.  Just like when I quit smoking, I had to quit Facebook cold turkey.  I'm excited...it's like a load was lifted off my shoulders.

It was such a beautiful sunny day yesterday, what a nice change! I'm hoping today is the same so I can get outside and do a little work.

I know exactly how you feel regarding facebook being time consuming.

Good for you!! Keep thinking about doing the same myself.

I love laundry hanging up! I wish I had a clothes-line, I just have drying racks. One of these days, maybe!

I completely understand the need to quit FB. I have felt like that before, but for some people its the only way we keep in touch. But I will ignore it for long stretches of time when it starts to get to be too much :)

Wow! I never thought of FB as an addiction before. But you're right! My husband, kids and I have to look on there several times a day.

Good for you!

Lisa B: It's just as warm today, but with less sunshine, it doesn't seem that way. :(

Lisa: Thanks. :)

Sarah: I tried ignoring it, but wasn't very successful. I had to just quit for good.

McVal: I like to think I don't get addicted to things easily, but the computer seems to get me. I used to be part of a homemakers' forum. I learned a lot, for sure, but the time I spent on it was crazy. I ended up having to quit it cold turkey, too.

Love to see laundry hanging out. I asked Kevin to put me a clothes line up this year. I love the feel and scent of fresh laundry!! We are supposed to get into the 60's this weekend!! I can't wait to air out the house.
I joined facebook a while ago but I hardly ever check it--just never got into it.

Go YOU!!
And I am NOT seeing that white stuff by the shed....I REFUSE to see it.....lol

I'm hoping we hit 50 here this weekend. I'll be the wacky woman throwing clean wet laundry over the deck railing. ;-)
Have a great weekend!!

Sheila: A blogger in Australia recently posted about a drying rack that drops down from the ceiling of her back veranda, so she can dry clothes when it's raining. Apparently they don't get all the wind that usually comes with our rain storms. Still, it's a neat idea.

Slugmama: Well, I wimped out today. My load of laundry was mostly jeans and there was cloud cover this morning and I didn't think they would dry before mid-afternoon (I have to leave the house for a few hours then). Wouldn't you know it turned off sunny after I'd already dried them in dryer. We're supposed to get rain tomorrow...but there's always Sunday to try again.

Just looks like spring with the laundry hung out to dry, doesn't it? It is nice to know Spring is just around the corner, 50s expected here all week long, very exciting. Sorry to hear about quitting the FB thing, also the smoking. I still enjoy both. :)

Well, we all have our vices. :) I'd be hard pressed to give up my caffeine and my salty snacks like chips and popcorn.

I don't regret quitting smoking, but Shane and I both vowed we wouldn't become obnoxious, preachy ex-smokers when we quit. I'll try not to be an obnoxious, preachy ex-Facebooker, either. :)

I'm doing everything I can to get "over" winter! Yuck!
I never started facebook because I figure that I don't have time to blog, write a book, and take care of the family! Why do I have to feed them so often?

Tug: We had our front and back doors open. We still have weatherization (clear plastic) on our windows. I want to leave it just a couple more weeks to be sure we don't have a late cold snap, but then it's GONE!

SonyaAnn: I know! They think they need to EVERY single day!

I wish we were still in the 50s! We are supposed to have temps near 80 today.

I love Winter and hate when it comes to an end!

Frances: I know...let's switch places! I love temps in the 80s! I could go for that all year long.
