Free Summer Bowling For Kids!

Via the blogger grapevine, I found out about free bowling for kids this summer at participating bowling centers.  Most are AMF Centers, but there may be some independent centers as well.

Here's the deal:.  Go to www.KidsBowlFree.com and select one of the participating bowling centers near you.  Register your kids directly from that center's website.  The center I selected accepts kids 15 and under; I'm not sure if that is the age limit across the board, so look around the site carefully before registering.  Once registered, your kiddos can bowl 2 free games per day all summer long.  Dates should also be listed on your center's website; ours are May 24 through September 19.

Once your child(ren) are registered, you will have the opportunity to buy an Family pass if you like.  For $26.95, up to four adults can also bowl two games per day all summer long, as long as they are accompanied by a registered child.  This is a great deal!  Our local bowling alley charges $2.95 per game per person.  Kat, Shane and I could bowl just three games there for the same price we could bowl dozens, if not hundreds, of games with this Family Pass.  Of course, we won't be bowling every day, but as long as the three of us play two games a piece on two different days, we'll have come out ahead.  What's more, I was able to add my daughter and son-in-law to the pass, too, so they can join us or even take Kat bowling by themselves.

One drawback is that the passes don't include shoe rental, but I have my own shoes and will see if I can find some for Kat on eBay for cheap.  A nice perk is that passes are emailed to participants weekly, for that week, so you don't have to worry about losing your only pass over the summer.

But wait!  There's more!  If you sign up early enough, you'll also receive a free $25 gift certificate to restaurant.com.  I used ours to buy two "$10 off a purchase of $20 or more" at a nearby family restaurant we've been wanting to try.  It would cost the three of us between $20 and $30 to eat there, so each trip we'll save 30-50%.

That's a summer full of fun and nice discounts on a couple of meals out for just $27.  Hard to beat!

Don't forget to check your emails after you sign up.  The first is just a welcome letter, but the second is important, as it requires you to confirm your email address in order to be fully registered for the program.

If you're on Twitter, follow @CenterdinKC (not a misspelling, btw)... they've always got some really good, cheap deals. Like lots of $25 certificates for $2 with codes they tweet, better even than the deals on the companies' web sites. I don't go out anymore, can't even afford the $2 these days, but good to get even for an occasional going out on the town.
