Weekly Menu - 11/18 thru 11/24

Last week's menu got turned upside down. We didn't go out to the seafood place on Wednesday (for Shane's birthday dinner) because he wasn't feeling well. Instead, I made him some homemade chicken noodle soup, which lasted us two days, postponing the shrimp meal I had planned, too.

Here's what's up for this week, if all goes according to plan:

Today (Shane's actual birthday): Grilled KC Strips and Tilapia Fillets, Twice-Baked Potatoes, Broiled Asparagus, German Chocolate Cake

Monday and Tuesday: Smoked Sausages, Beans and Cornbread, Fried Potatoes

Wednesday: Out for Shane's birthday meal that we didn't get to have last week

Thursday: THANKSGIVING FEAST! See menu below.

Friday and Saturday: Miscellaneous Thanksgiving leftovers (or if necessary, omelets, toast and bacon)

Here's our menu for Thanksgiving Day. My eldest sister and her husband are joining Shane, Kat, Jean and I. The meal will be a combination of traditional dishes and some that aren't quite so traditional. There should be plenty of leftovers for us and for Jean and my sister to take home. They'll appreciate that, I'm sure, since they both have to work the next day.

Deep Fried Turkey
Mashed Potatoes with Gravy
Cabbage and Apple Saute
Homestyle Green Beans
Stuffing
Homemade Rolls
Pumpkin Spice Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting
Cranberry Sauce
Cottage Cheese
Lettuce Salad (sister is bringing)
Roasted Sweet Potatoes and Onions (sister is bringing)
Mini Pecan Pies (sister is bringing)
Tea (regular and spiced)
Coffee
