I must have been really good lately. Or maybe in a past life.
Remember that little job I had counting customers a week or so ago? I did about 3 hours of actual work spread out over ten hours each of three day. I was told that I'd be paid for eight hours each shift, and I thought that was a pretty good deal considering all the down-time.
The direct deposit posted today. I got paid for all 30 hours instead of just 24. Sweet.
We also received our property tax bill today (just the vehicles, not the house). Because we moved in 2006, our taxes will be paid to a different county than last year. Between the switchover and depreciation, our taxes are half of what I'd anticipated.
Things are beginning to look up!

Lower taxes are always wonderful. Our home tax also dropped 200.00. Glad of that!
that is great that they paid you for the entire time that you were there! bonus!
Donna: Well the house taxes went up a little over last year, but overall we still owe less than last year. That's always a good thing.
Violet: I kept waiting for them to call and say "Don't spend it! We made a mistake!". But so far, so good.
