Sunday, March 6 - HM Pasta Sauce with Italian Sausage and Peppers over Spaghetti Squash, Garlic Toast, Mixed Berry Crisp
I found this idea for Italian sausage over acorn squash, but it just made more sense to me to use spaghetti squash. It was very tasty.
Monday, March 7 - Marinated Venison Steaks on the grill, Mashed Potatoes, Acorn Squash, Peas, HM Lemon Pudding
The steaks in this meal were very good, but I didn't care for the homemade lemon pudding. I thought it tasted a little too egg-y.
Tuesday, March 8 - Potato Cakes, Sausage Links, Scrambled Eggs, Leftover Lemon Pudding, Green Beans
I used the leftover mashed potatoes to make potato cakes, which are always a favorite here.
Wednesday, March 9 - Wild Rice and Steak Casserole, Leftover Green Beans, Corn, Chocolate Cobbler
The casserole was a variation on a recipe I'd found in a magazine and was just so-so. This chocolate cobbler was simple, but delicious.
Thursday, March 10 - Soup and hot dogs.
This was another of those days when time got away from us, so I thawed some previously-made soup from the freezer and heated some hot dogs in the microwave. Not the best meal, but it sufficed.
Friday, March 11 - Leftovers from Wednesday's meal.
The steak casserole improved a bit over time, and the chocolate cobbler was as good or better after a couple of days in the fridge.
Saturday, March 12 - Cajun Rice with Smoked Sausage in Tortillas, Green Beans
This was another idea I saw in a magazine somewhere. Shane liked it, but I thought it sounded better in concept than it was in reality. It was ok, but nothing special. But again, it worked. It was a quick and easy supper after a fairly large lunch earlier in the day.
