Tuesday Tip - Exfoliate Your Bathtub...And Your Potatoes

In addition to sloughing away dead skin from your body, use a pair of exfoliating bath gloves to clean your bathtub and shower. After your shower, while the shower and tub are still wet, put on gloves and rub your hands over shower and tub surfaces. You'll be able to feel where soap scum has built up and just scrub it away. Use a gentle cleanser to to do this...or don't. The choice is yours. Wash the gloves with bath soap or shampoo, rinse well, then hang gloves to dry when you're done.

I don't know where I read about this tip, but it's one of the best tips I've found lately. Use a separate pair of exfoliating gloves in the kitchen to clean veggies. They are especially good for cleaning potatoes. When you're finished, just wash them with dish soap and rinse well, then hang them to dry.

These gloves are only $1 a pair at stores like Dollar Tree and Deals.

Thanks for the tips. I always use a brush to scrub my potatoes but I've had a hard time finding one that has short but firm bristles. I really like the idea of using the gloves--now if I can just remember to pick some up. Love the idea for the shower too--there again--I'm using a brush but it's not cutting it.
Wish we could get together this weekend--hopefully one day we will get to meet. I hope y'all have a great week. Take care.

this would also work well for those little spiny things that are on some breeds of cucumber. Thanks for sharing!!

ROFL.....go read this again Annie Jones and try not to laugh when you find what I found....LMAO

I've GOT to get me a pair of exfoliating gloves as soon as I can pick my bad self off the floor. ;-)

I'm glad you told me to use a seperate pair of gloves to wash the potatoes. I'm not a cook so who knows what I would have done. I do clean so I love the shower tip.
I hope you've been well. I'm trying really hard to get back to blogging.

I use my body sponge when its still all soapy, or I keep a magic eraser in the shower to do the same thing :) So much easier to clean the shower while you are still in it!

Do you use a shower spray at all on the walls & floor when you get out of the shower? I like my scrubbing bubbles cleaner, but I have seen a few recipes for homemade daily shower cleaners & wondered if you had tried any.
