My mom always called irises, "flags". We transplanted irises from my parents' lawn last year into four locations in our yard, and while all the plants look big and healthy, only this one has bloomed. This is the same two blossoms, taken from different angles.

I have always found that my transplanted iris take two years to bloom. I think you will get many more blooms next year.
My iris are just budding out. Maybe next week for me. I think I have some of the same ones you have shown today. I do love them!
They are gorgeous! Thank you for linking up!
Love the color of your iris. They remind me of the ones my Pa-Paw used in his yard. He was very serious about gardening but he also made decorative flowerbeds in his yard--he made them in different, random shapes and they were all planted with irises. Thanks for the memory. Take care.
I have a few of these, they are my favorite. I also have a bronze/copper one, interesting but I love the purple.
I love iris. Those and Gladiolas are some that remind me of my grandmother. I wonder if they can grow here....
