Product Review: Juliana 4-Tier Growing Rack from CSN Stores

I mentioned yesterday that Shane had planted some veggie seeds in starter pots, but what I didn't mention was this neat-o growing rack I received to review from CSN Stores.

First, I have to say that, as always, I got great customer service from CSN Stores.  Upon ordering, I was informed that I would receive tracking information by 3/4/11 and would receive the item on or about 3/7/11.  I was very pleasantly surprised when the tracking information came on 3/2/11 and the item arrived on 3/4/11; both were days earlier than expected.

The rack itself is great.  It goes together without the need for tools.  All the pieces simply slip together or nest on top of each other.  The rack is lightweight, but sturdy.  As soon as the weather gets a little warmer, I'll be able to move it out onto the back deck (and back in, when needed) by myself.  The clear plastic cover fits easily over the top of the rack and has a double-zippered front for easy access to plants for watering or moving.

This growing rack is a little bigger than I thought.  Although the dimensions were in the listing, it still appears larger than I anticipated.  With four uniform shelves, it is more functional and more attractive, I think, than the baker's rack we used last year for the same purpose.

All in all, I would recommend the Juliana 5-Tier Growing Rack to anyone wanting to get a jump start on this year's garden.  I'd also recommend CSN Stores for all your online shopping needs.

Disclaimer:  I was provided a $55 gift certificate from CSN Stores and selected this item in return for writing a review about the item and CSN Stores.  No other monetary compensation was received, and the opinions herein are strictly my own.

I love it! I think it's great if you don't have a lot of room to spare in your house.

Wow - I'm lusting after that growing rack and may have to order one myself. :-) I love the design and the portability factor.

I seriously considered one of these last year. It would be so much more convenient than having the trays on my dining room table. I wasn't sure how sturdy the racks would be--thanks for the review. Take care.

I was going to get this, wasn't sure about it, so I got a regular set of shelves. I figure I could use the shelves as a growing rack and also use it for storage. As it goes, the shelf is set up in the south windows and the trays of seeds are on the dining table! lol

I need to finish my post about my seeds I started..... especially now that they have all sprouted! Working is kicking my butt!

It makes me want to try and get a garden going. I can grow mold in pots real well just I have a hard time with plants.
