Rebate Bonus!

You probably remember back in April that we decided to buy our new dishwasher because the state of Missouri was having a tax-free holiday on appliances, as well as offering a substantial rebate of $75, on top of which there was a manufacturer rebate of $30.

We received the sales tax break at purchase, and our manufacturer rebate came a couple of weeks ago. It crossed my mind the other night when I couldn't sleep to look up the status of our $75 state rebate. I couldn't find a tracker, but I did read unconfirmed reports that the first round of rebates had been mailed that very day (6/18, I think it was) AND that the state had added at least $50 to all of the rebates!

Our rebate check came today. And since I promised SonyaAnn a photo with every post this week, here's the picture:

Pretty, ain't it?

It's beauteous!!
Now that almost makes your new grill free....wait!, that WAS free so that makes the $130 of food you got with it almost free too!
To paraphrase my 'hip' teens, that's Uber Cool!

Yay, you mentioned me!!! I'm loved.
And thank you for the picture and I'm glad that you got extra!!!! Are you going shopping or getting more for the garden? Maybe school clothes for Kat?

OBQ: Happy to hear you got yours, too! :)

Lisa B: It was a good time to get it, but I'm sure another good sale will come around before long.

Frances: I knew you'd appreciate the beauty in it.

Sluggy: Also Groovy, Neat-o and Far Out.

SonyaAnn: School clothes for Kat would be a great idea, but I'm on a mission. It's going directly into that van loan envelope. :)

I guess I could forget about cashing it and hang it in a museum instead. :)
