Set your guilt and calorie-counting aside for at least one meal and give this a try. It's American diner food at it's best.
I didn't change the recipe much, although I did add the slice of homemade bread under the burger that some folks suggested and added a little browning sauce to the gravy for a richer appearance (and to color coordinate with my restaurant plate). When I make it again (not if, but when), I'll take The Pioneer Woman's advice and cut back on the salt a little.
