Yes, I Do Still Use Coupons Sometimes

Because we usually like a little meat of some kind in our meals...

And because there isn't much meat left in the freezer now, except a turkey and a couple packages of split chicken breasts....

And because I received a bunch of coupons in the mail from Farmland and had a few in my stash already...

And because Apple Market was having a Buy One, Get One sale on several Farmland products...

And because Apple Market had Steamers on sale and doubled my coupon...

I was able to get all of this for $14.80, including tax.

2-2.5 lbs. ham pieces, 2-1 lb. pkgs. cubed ham, 2-12 oz. pkgs. sausage links,
2-1 lb pkgs. bacon, 4-1 lb. pkgs. hot dogs, 1-12 oz. bag corn

I see pizza, baked beans, ham and beans, BLTs, and lots of breakfast-for-dinner meals in our future! And "frankly", sometimes a hot dog from the grill just tastes good!

You did great. I can't wait until it gets a little warmer to BBQ!
Have a great weekend!

Now you are a real bargains shopper. I hardly ever find coupons anymore.
BLT's sound so good, but then so do grilled hotdogs.

Awesome!!

SonyaAnn: I think we've grilled once this year so far. For some reason Shane, who isn't a phone person, chooses that time to call someone, gets distracted, then overcooks things. It happens almost every time. I may have to take over the grill next time.

OBQ: I'm still finding a lot of coupons, although I'm not very aggressive about seeking them out. I don't use nearly as many as I find.

Miranda: Yes, good deals, but I know they're not the healthiest of choices. But I guess their not the unhealthiest, either.

Good deal!! I too hardly ever find coupons for the things I use. I would love to find coupons like those because I do use all those things you bought.
Have a great weekend.

Sheila: Do you have Farmland products in your area (they're a Midwestern company; not sure how far-reaching they are). If so, go to their website and sign up. I'm sure that's how I received the coupons in the mail.

You're too funny, Sluggy!

Excellent deals! I got those Farmland coupons, too. Now I just have to find the best place to use them, if I use them. I don't foresee a B1G1 on those products in my area, but you never know.

Always keeping my eyes peeled for cheap meat!

You never know Frances. This was the second chain to run the Farmland BOGOs in about a month. I was surprised about it both times.

Annie Jones,
We do have Farmland products in the stores here. I'll go visit their website--thanks for the info. Too cute, Slugmama.
Have a great weekend.

Doh! So much meat there, yum! And I can't have any of it, still waiting for your promised meat-free recipe. From the looks of this, that might be awhile. (Unless I missed it already somewhere along the way, I'll go back and check.) Still I recognize what a bargain all of this, probably the smartest shopper of the lot of us. Before long you'll probably figure out a way to get paid to buy stuff.

Doug: Look for that recipe next week. I promise.

I got busy the last couple days and forgot to go to the sale! I have the coupons too. :(

Lisa: Is there an Apple Market near you, or do you have to come into the city to find one?
