I can't believe another week has come and gone! I don't know where the time goes.
Here's how we did at the grocery stores this week. Technically, we've increased our grocery budget back up to $55 a week (from $40 a week while Shane was laid off), but I spent barely more than $40 anyway.
Groceries:
Needed now: 1 lb. spaghetti, 1 hot dog buns, 1 loaf bread, 1 apple juice, 1 grape juice (will make jelly from both juices), 3 lb grapes, 1 lb. frozen corn, 2 10-ct. flour tortillas, 3 bags o' salad, 1 gallon milk, 1 qt. half & half
Not yet needed: 3.5 lb. beef rump roast
Splurges/unnecessary items: 4 cans of Pringles, 1 lb. fresh mushrooms, 1 jar strawberry preserves, 2 bags tortilla chips
Total spent, after coupons - $40.80
Other categories: (not included in grocery budget)
Health/Beauty/CoPays - $0.00
Paper products, cleaning/laundry supplies - Black inkjet cartridge refill, with coupon - $7.03
Cat food/litter - $0.00
Lawn/garden - 2 bales of straw for garden mulch - $11.90
Dining out - Lunch with my friend Janelle last Monday. Her hubby is the assistant manager of First Watch and he generously comped out our meal, so my only cost was the tip (thanks, Steve!). Also, lunch yesterday with Kat and Shane, using a $10 off $20 or more coupon - Total for both times out, including tips - $21.86

Wow! Just wait until Kat has hollow legs like my 18 year old son... I think your amount per week may go up.
McVal: I'm sure it will...LOL! I'm sure someday I'll run out of my stockpile of bath tissue and shampoo, too, and have to buy those things as well. But so far, so good living the last couple of months from (mostly) on what we already had on hand.
One of my hollow legged teens is returning from college next month....must fill the freezer with meat!lol
Great spending total this week.
Good job on the low grocery budget!
