I got a call this morning from one of the Kindergarten moms asking if I could bring something for the Fall Party tomorrow. I had signed up to help, but since I hadn't heard anything, I thought I had a pass this time around. Oh well.
Since our school allows homemade treats...and since I didn't want to go out to the store today...and since I had a cake mix, some powdered sugar, some butter, frosting color and colored sugar, I made cupcakes. With orange frosting and purple, black and orange sprinkles.
I think the kids will like them.

I'd take those over shop bought any day of the week. They look delicious.
Our school still allows homemade treats too, but more often than not my kids want to take gogurts.
Have you tasted a gogurt? Blech.
