Things are going to start getting busier from now until the end of the year. I still have temp work remaining for next week, with another in the works that could last through the holiday season. Shane's birthday is this month and mine is next month. That's not even mentioning Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Eve and possibly 2-3 more gatherings.
I know I won't be able to help but throw in a few brand new recipes, but this month I'm going to try hard to keep things simple with dishes I know by heart. But I have to say, the fried chicken for late in the week is a little time consuming for a busy weeknight. If I'm still on this assignment, I may end up switching it out for something quicker.
This week:
Once: KC Strip Steaks, Scalloped Potatoes, Broccoli-Cauliflower Bake
Twice: Plaza III Steak Soup, Biscuits, Applesauce, Cranberry-Lemon Bread
Twice: Pita Bread Soft Tacos, Red Beans or Refried Beans, Peaches
Once: Fried Chicken, Mashed Potatoes, Gravy, Green Beans, Corn
Once: Leftover Chicken in Gravy over Potato Pancakes, Miscellaneous Leftover Side Dishes

Gads...everything sounds delicious! You do all this after working all day?
Donna: Oh, no way! I love to cook, and it's important to me for most of our food to be made from scratch, but I just don't have the time (or desire) to do that kind of cooking every night.
I try to cook as much ahead of time as I can, so that my weekday meals are easy, but still home-cooked. I have a post here about it. It's under the Saving Time category in the sidebar.
